Full moon excursion to Paltin on September 4
A nightly steam excursion train will run to Paltin on friday, September 4. A bonfire will be built next to the picknick tables, drinks and BBQ will be available.
The Full Moon special leaves Viseu de Sus station at 7:30 pm and will reach Paltin around 10:00 pm, the return trip will arrive in Viseu no earlier than 1:00 am. Ticket fare is 35.- Lei, as usual. In order to be able to estimate the number of paticipants, we ask you to reserve your seats on +40 262 353 381 or info@cffviseu.com. Nights do get cold in the Vaser Valley, so we ask our customers to bring warm clothing.
The excursion will only take place in good weather. If the conditions are doubtful, please inquire at the station or on the above phone number

Sunday specials with CFI Brad Engine No. 5 on August 23 and 30
Steam passenger special trains headed by CFI Brad Reşiţa No. 5 will run to Paltin on sundays, August 23 and 30. Engine No. 5 has just arrived in Vişeu de Sus to replace Cozia-1, which requires work due to boiler pipe problems.
The sunday trains leave Viseu de Sus station at 8:30 like weekday trains, ticket fares are 35.- RON for adults and 20.- RON für children as usual.

Feast of the Dormition special on August, 16
In celebration of the orthodox Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God holiday, a steam passenger special train will run to Paltin on sunday, August 16.
The train will leave Viseu de Sus station at 8:30, ticket fares are 35.- RON for adults and 20.- RON für children as usual.

All trains run to Paltin starting July 22
Due to the great demand, Mocanita steam trains will run the longer trip to Paltin daily (except sunday) from July 27 until the end of August. Trains leave Viseu de Sus at 8:30 as previously announced. If required, a second train leaving Viseu de Sus half an hour later and returning approx. at 4:00 pm is deployed. Train schedules allow for a one hour break at Paltin, where passengers can have lunch at the newly built picknick tables. Soft drinks, beer and coffee can be purchased on site.

Main Tourist Season starts July 1
Starting July 1, tourist steam trains run daily (except sundays) on the Vaser Valley line. Tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays, trains run from Viseu de Sus to Paltin (km 21.6). Mondays, wednesdays and fridays, trains run to Novat (km 12.8).
All trains leave the Viseu de Sus station at 8:30 am, those running to Paltin will return approx. at 3:30 pm, those running to Novat will return approx. at 12:00 noon.
