Cafebar "Elefant"
Adjacent to the station building in Viseu de Sus you will find the Cafebar “Elefant”, located in a historic wooden building, typical of the area. The name "Elefant" commemorates the name of the last Jewish forestry entrepreneur, who owned one of the biggest saw mills in Viseu until his displacement in 1940. Hence one of the rooms in the building contains a small museum of the Jewish history of Viseu de Sus.
In the stylish coffee lounge you can enjoy an excellent coffee with biscuits, even early in the morning. Or you might enjoy a glass of wine in the evening after the arrival of the steam train. Pass the time in comfort on the timber patio, or at a table in the garden, enjoying the sights and sounds of the station and timber yard around you...
