The ticket office at the CFF station opens at 7:00 am.
Please Note: Groups are requested to send advance notice in writing due to limited seating space in regular tourist trains. Groups cannot be carried without prior reservation!Large groups and Parties are recommended to book their own charter train.
ATENTION! Parties, Groups, Companies etc. may charter their own train throughout the year, on request also with catering service.
The cheapest option is a historic diesel railcar with up to 25 seats. The railcar can be booked at short notice. Rates start at 180 Euro depending on the route and duration of your travel.
A train with steam loco must be booked at least two days prior to travel date. Rates depend on the route and duration of your travel and on the number of coaches, starting at 500 Euro plus VAT.

- Please advise us of group bookings at least two days in advance, by mail or phone.
- Students, pensioners and disabled people must show valid identification.
- CFR railway tickets and passes are not valid on the trains of the CFF Viseu de Sus.
- During the high season, children travel at a reduced price (29 RON) every Monday.
- We suggest that groups book their own charter train.
- You may board the train only with valid tickets!
- In the event of very bad weather the train may be cancelled. Due to technical failures, steam locomotives may be replaced by diesels.
- Due to limited seating, we kindly ask you to keep the seats free of luggage.
- Please read the CFF standing procedures before travel.
Forestry and Logging Trains
Forestry and Logging Trains run throughout the year with no standing time table, to meet the needs of the forestry industry. Visitors are not permitted to travel on forestry trains.
